Review matches
When processing finishes, TakeCript takes you to the Review page so you can validate each script block before exporting.
What are matches?
A match links one script block to a specific segment from transcribed A-roll or Voice-over footage.
What you can see on this page
- Project coverage: matched blocks vs total blocks, plus a progress bar.
- Block cards: block content, selected clip, timestamps, duration, and confidence.
- Preview panel: quick playback to validate each selected segment.
- Cut preset selector:
Soft,Normal, orAggressive, with a reprocess action. - Export warning: if warning-level blocks are still pending review, TakeCript warns you before export.
Quality indicators
Each block quality label is derived from the selected match confidence:
- Excellent:
>= 85% - Good:
>= 70% and < 85% - Fair:
>= 50% and < 70% - No match: no selected match or confidence
< 50%
Changing a match
Review the current match
For each block, open Preview and switch between:
Preview timeline: plays the final timeline segment (including silence cuts when available).Preview source: plays the original source segment.
View alternatives and switch selection
If the block has alternatives, open View alternatives. Up to 2 candidates are shown with clip name, timestamps, and confidence.
Click Select on the one you want. The timeline is regenerated automatically.
Assign manually (if needed)
If no automatic candidate is correct, click Assign manually:
- Pick a processed A-roll or Voice-over clip.
- Enter start and end time (
mm:ss,mm:ss.mmm,hh:mm:ss, orhh:mm:ss.mmm). - Confirm to create and select a manual match.
Reprocess with another preset (optional)
If the overall result is not good enough, switch preset (Soft, Normal, Aggressive) and click Reprocess.
Timeline overview
At the top of the page, the visual timeline shows:
- Color-coded segments by block quality.
- Estimated total duration.
- Quick navigation: click a segment to jump to its block card.
Export warning behavior
If you try to export while Fair or No match blocks are still unreviewed, TakeCript shows a warning and lets you:
- Go back and review those blocks.
- Continue and export anyway.
What happens next
Once matches and previews look right, export the project and open it in your editor.
